Herons. Sardinia

The lagoon, shown last Sunday, is teeming with wildlife when the wind surfers and kite surfers are not at play.
This photograph shows part of a great massing of heron species: cattle egrets, great white egrets, grey herons, etc.
I have never seen so many in one spot.
There must have been over two hundred.

And casually fishing near them, a flamingo!
