1/- Coins

1/- bob shilling now 5p.

Mum would take new coins out circulation and keep hold of them safely tucked away wrapped in paper. She often made little notes on them which is lovely to find.

I now have the responsibility of looking after them, so over the last few years I have been sorting them and putting them in wee card holders then neatly box them.

Also have been adding to the collection with any shiny coin that comes into my purse. Been enjoying finding the Olympic 50p's .
