Newbie in town

Meet Iris Emily.

This morning flew by really. Despite the initial midwife nearly fainting and a new one roped in last minute, the girl doing the spinal block being a trainee and the boy sobbing his heart out once again; it all went pretty swimmingly. I'm in pain but nothing too horrific. The day in a room to ourselves was lovely and meant Esther could run wild, buzzing at meeting her sister or maybe it was the presents.

Now sat in a ward of four bays on my own with Iris. The superchavs have left thank god. Tucking into M&Ms hoping she will wake up for a feed soon so we can get some kip.

Iris Emily arrived at 12:03pm weighing 7lb11oz. We love her to bits already.
