Intricate carving

on the walls of the huge Hassan 11 mosque in Casablanca.  The mosque was built on the sea bed with water on 3 sides with a retractable roof over the central court and a glass floor over the sea. 35,000 workers were needed to build it over a few short years and it was finished in 1993 as a birthday present for the king.  Except for Venetian glass candelabra all the rest of the material were sourced within Morocco. The extra shows the full building which is the 5th largest mosque in the world - the biggest is in Mecca.  Thanks for lovely comments and awards - none from me for a short while I'm afraid.
