TT122 - Miners' lettuce

The common name miner's lettuce refers to its use by California Gold Rush miners who ate it to prevent scurvy. It can be eaten as a leaf vegetable.

Given to me by a friend this has thrived all winter in my greenhouse, and we have eaten and enjoyed it as something fresh in the winter. It's now going to seed, and I'll let it seed and hopefully new plants will appear.
