Unexpected Encounter

Our local area continues to throw up surprises even though we walk through it on a regular basis. The butterflies and in particular the Red Admirals were again out in force but were rather eclipsed by these Dragon Flies.

All three were captured in a very small area and not one where we would expect to see them. They were difficult to photograph as they did not settle for long. This is the first year I have seen Dragon Flies in this area having lived here for over 30 years.
