The Old Forge (Tuesday 26th September 2017)

Looking through the new porch window this morning I saw the raindrops gleaming on the smoke tree (cotinus) outside, so I popped outside to grab a couple of shots.
The rain cleared up later and I did get out to Honeyball recycling centre with another trailer load of green waste. I saw a pair of swans on the lake behind the skips, and wondered if they were the pair I'd seen in Hills Pools less than a mile away that hadn't been there in recent months.
Over the last couple of weeks there have been thousands of Canada geese flying in V-formations over the garden each afternoon, honking on the wing, making their way from Honeyball and heading for Bowood Lake where they spend the night, so today apart from the swans the lake looked unusually empty.
If things go according to plan, I will be visiting Brownsea Island tomorrow. I'll be getting home late so it may be two or three days before my next Blip.
The parcel that was due yesterday has still not arrived, so is bound to come tomorrow while I'm out.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Kate Bush - And Dream of Sheep (recorded live, 2014, Pinewood Studios, July 2014, for Before The Dawn)
his is a special piece of film to accompany the release of the live single And Dream Of Sheep. The vocal was performed live while filming Kate lying in the huge water tank at Pinewood Studios. This was to create a sense of realism, as the character in the song is lost at sea. However it became more realistic than Kate had imagined. She spent so long in the water during the first day of filming that she contracted mild hypothermia. She recovered after a day off and carried on filming. Everyone agreed it had added to the authenticity of the performance. This film was then projected onto a large oval screen which hung above the stage during the performances of her live show.  - KateBushMusic (You Tube)
