Work on my lecture in the morning. Then emergency delivery of my colleague's bits. Well, I just got them to read the notes and ask questions. I must say they were very diligent. Looking forward to teaching them next week.

Went on to information about the state of our pensions. The pension provider says the state is dire according to their method of working it out. The union claims it is ok according to their method. Both methods are non standard. It's tricky as it involves crystal balls. On the other hand I do have the feeling some of the employers are unduly pessimistic and cautious. I really hope we are not asked to support a strike again.
