All hitched up and nowhere to go......

Not raining, but after yesterday's heavy rain it will take a while for things to dry out. Started to dry more oats then sent one off to cart straw home and left the other filling barley into the grain tower.
The traction belt has been slipping on the combine so took time to adjust the variator pulley, then filled a hole in the grain tank with silicone sealant as a temporary fix ( it will likely be there for the next few years ! )
Then took the combine along the road to the next field to be cut and hitched up the header ready to make a start if tomorrow's forecast is correct.
Nipped down to see how the drainers are getting on. They are using a trenchless machine to put the pipe in along with a layer of gravel to help the water filter away. It is quite impressive to watch ,with it's 440 HP engine and laser guidance which keeps the pipe at the correct depth and slope. And a snip at  over £350K   !
