Creel overboard

17C. Dull start then sunny and breezy. Warm out of the breeze !

Apothecary7, Maeve the Deerhound, and I went for our walk after lunch when it had started to get nice and sunny. I took Apothecary7 to see the tree that had been split in the storm then we went down the field with the bridle path. I jumped up on the bales and took a few shots from the top. Maeve was off her lead and had a bit of a run about but mostly trotted after us down towards the shore. We could see 'Valhalla VI' heading towards the beach.

We went through the little field of sheep and on to the beach. We could see quite a few people out for a walk, some heading to Easthaven, and some coming along from the Carnoustie direction. We wandered up to the Fishermen's huts and the people who have 'Shamara II' were sitting in the sun. We would have said hello, but a very nasty collie in their company snarled and barked and rushed at Maeve in a very aggressive way so we just waited until they got hold of it then walked on quietly.

We went past the cottages and stopped at the car park to see if 'Valhalla VI' had moored, but the man had brought her in close to the beach and was dumping some creels over the side. My guess is that it is easier to do that and pick them up at low tide, either later or tomorrow morning rather than try to get them into his dingy and row them to shore. It might be coming to the end of his fishing season too as he is the only fisherman still with his boat in the water at Westhaven. The blip is a bit of an experiment as I used all of the optical zoom and the digital zoom to get the shot. I haven't tried that before :-)

Later I listened to Johnnie Walker's "Sounds of the Seventies" on radio 2. Today he was featuring the 35th anniversary of the Sex Pistol's first album. I was at Uni .. almost makes me feel old :-)
