Lovers' Loan (2)

I live (near to) a nice part of town. My street of early 1970s red brick boxes is barely tolerated by the streets of fancy stone houses up the hill, but they do include us by posting a copy of their quarterly news letter through our door.

That's how fancy they are - they have a glossy, expensive looking newsletter covering all of the exciting developments in the area. Recent highlights include a 3 page spread on notable local trees, and some guy showcasing his extensive porcelain collection. They also have a regular name and shame section covering people who have dared to make planning applications that aren't 'in keeping' with the area. Someone wanted to have plastic grass. Plastic grass!!!! They soon put a stop to that, but I'm surprised they weren't tarred and feathered and paraded for everyone to see.

So, I can only imagine their horror at the recent spate of urban art appearing in the picturesque Lovers' Loan. The range of styles and ability level suggests a large art collective at work, but I wouldn't want to be in their shoes if any of them get caught.

This is one of my favourites.
