Day 62: Eyam & Speedwell Cavern

Braving the wind and rain, first stop - 'the plague village' - remarkable that in 1665 the villagers understood and implemented the concept of isolation at a time when the doctors where still using bloodletting (which is never done today, oh wait a minute......) and lucky charms (personally, I'm a big fan of lucky charms - can't do any harm). I think the lady that served me in the museum was probably alive in 1665...which added a certain charm. Continued on to Speedwell Cavern which included an underground boat trip (which was cool - and I'll make no apologies for the use of the word 'cool') .......to the Bottomless Pit (which was in fact 11m deep).
