Hippocrates

......As in the hippocratic oath. We are in Kos and this tree is said to be the same one as the one under which Hippocrates, the first to remove medicine from magicians and tricksters, taught his students. Not sure if it's the same one or more likely a descendent, it's well supported with scaffolding though.
Sadly, the beautiful little domed building which stood next to it was demolished in the earthquake which hit Kos last month. Large areas of the town are fine, but other buildings, some of which were very old have been badly damaged.
