First Attempt at a Photographic Panel

This morning was week three (of ten) of the Portfolio Development Course that B and I are attending at Wells Library every Thursday morning.
As well as learning about editing photos this morning, we had taken along postcard size prints of our favourite images to collectively have a go at arranging them into a panel of ten photos.  This image sharing will be an ongoing task, with a possibility of entering them as a panel to submit to the Royal Photographic Society in the future in order to obtain a distinction.  I’m not sure if I want to do this yet, their standards are extremely high so achieving a ‘Licentiate’ distinction is not easy.  Even if I don’t, it’s inspiring and fun to look at photos taken by our fellow class members.

Next week (weather permitting) we will be concentrating on shutter speed and will be visiting RSPB Titchwell for a photo shoot.

Hi All
There is a blipmeet next Tuesday 3rd October, it would be great if you could join Bom (see below) and me.
https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2360120421585519050

The details are on the Activities page but also as below:

Meet at the Barton Road carpark at 10am (CB7 4HZ) which is free after 8:30
Fairly short walk to start with tea and cake at The Almonry next to the cathedral http://www.elycathedral.org/visit/refreshments/the-almonry-restaurant
Once we're all together and refreshed we'll set off either for a walk by the river or to the cathedral first, depending on the weather. If you can't get there for 10am, then you can meet us at the Almonry. We can decide when we meet if we also want lunch at the Almonry or elsewhere.
There is a school event in the cathedral, but visitors are still welcome. Basic entrance is £8 and if you ask you can get your ticket converted to a year's free pass. There is also a £2 charge if you want to use a tripod.
I hope you can still come along and if so please could you confirm to Bom (via the Activities Page) whether you are attending.
