Garden visitor

Gary found this furry creature on our gate today and brought him in to show me - and of course to take a photo for my blip! ;o)

We haven't seen one like this before, but apparently they are reasonably common. One of the things they like are crab apple trees and we have one in our front garden so it's surprising we haven't spotted one before. It is a Pale Tussoch - more details here.

We've put him back outside to carry on with whatever he was up to - no caterpillars were harmed in the making of this blip...
