Lochan na h-Earba

I had a quick tramp up to Lochan na h-Earba with Bruce and Caley late afternoon early evening.

It was breezy, we had a couple of heavy showers but in between the warm low evening sun threw striking orange shafts of light on to the hills and moorland. I don't know if it is a word but every thing looked very "contrasty".

It was almost like someone up there was tweaking universal real time photoshop adjustments so all you had to do as a mere blipper was push the button at point of collection to get your image. As always it was beautiful here tonight.

I could have gone daft with the big Nikon -left at home to keep the rucksack light- and have ended up with a 100 to choose from. The wee Sigma is light but painfully slow to operate but forces the user to be more choosy, possibly to the extent of missing something good, but allows a choice from a more sensible dozen or so.

Anyway, similar to one a couple of weeks ago, this is Caley enjoying the evening sun between swims.
