Roman mosaic floor

at Volubilis which was the most remote outpost of the Roman Empire in Africa. It was built and abandoned within a century. Moulay-Ismail took all the marble for his own city and all the important things that have been found are in the museum in Rabat. An enormous amount still to be uncovered though and the mosaic floors have been left in situ.  The extras show the amazing landscape where ploughed fields make geometric patterns and the only wild animal I have seen.
