Flower Friday - a late poppy

When I arrived In Kirk Yetholm this morning to start the school run, I noticed this wee poppy growing beside the bus shelter. It wasnt a very nice morning, raining and fairly windy, but I jumped out the bus to try to get a half decent shot before I had any passengers. I’m sure that the end of September is very late for a poppy to be in bloom.
