Fuzzy berries

Today was a good day. It poured in the morning so that restricted possibilities. But, as the weather forecast told us, it started to clear up in the early afternoon and moods changed.

Time to prepare for next spring and a busy time planting for the future. Time to be optimistic: the bulbs will come through - strong stems will force themselves through crusty, cold winter soil. The newly planted shrubs will settle and roots will ground them in place. The shifted herbaceous will die off and tease - who knows whether they will come again? Of course they will!

The is a photo of a hypericum which I'm ready to plant out.

I used a different lens, one that I have difficulty figuring out. Can't quite get the focus right. But the photo was pure autumn colour. Sharpness will come with practice.

Maybe sharpness is a winter thing.
