Opening

A few weeks ago I helped with the planting for the V&A garden and today was the official opening. There were 3 short speeches explaining how the garden had been developed and then the ribbon "cutting" by 2 of the design group and the man who has been getting the whole thing going. refreshments were also provided.
Earlier stages can be seen here (and the day before) and the extra gives a closer view of the planters.
The afternoon was lovely so I went out on the bike, there's nothing urgent to be done in the garden, then picked blackberries and made 2 apple and blackberry crumbles, a bread and butter pudding and started on some bramble and apple jelly - and I still have some apples left!
