Cape Figwort

A mostly home-based day today, with a quick trip into town to exchange a top that I'd bought in the sale yesterday - it was two sizes smaller than the its hanger and had me worried for a moment!

It's been another mild and rather gloomy day with a few brief spells of sunshine, but quite good for gardening. More overgrown bushes have been pruned back, which is starting to make everywhere feel lighter and airier. I also painted the ceiling in the downstairs toilet and finished filling the walls (I think!) Little steps...

I'm thoroughly enjoying the autumn display in the garden - this Cape Figwort is blooming profusely for the second time of the year, and if anything, the soft red glows more forcefully on an overcast day.
