View From the Darling House

The name of the house isn't descriptive, it's the name of the owners, the Darling family. I would be more likely to call it The Gorgeous House. Built in 1910, the eight bedroom Mission Revival building was designed by William Weeks. It's been run as a bed and breakfast for many years, and today we got to tour the inside because the owners are retiring and are having a massive estate sale. The cashier at the sale was joking that she should have charged fifty cents to get in, for all the folks more interested in seeing the fine craftsmanship than in buying anything.
