Bittersweet goodbye

First thing this morning I selected some flowers left over from the Festival of Flowers to take home. Beautiful roses, carnations and even a bright sunflower will bring colour to my cottage. The weather was dull and drizzly today, much like my mood.

It's a bittersweet goodbye as I completed my last day in marketing at the castle. I've made so many wonderful friends and have precious memories. I won't be leaving completely as I'll be helping out the odd event, going for walks to check up on the swans and visit the falconry team and their beautiful birds. Then there's coffee with ex-colleagues...

Time to start a new adventure now. Not quite sure what it is yet. Wish me luck!
