St Aubin, Jersey

It seemed much easier to leave Britain from the Channel Islands on Tuesday than it was to enter it yesterday with hundreds of other ferry passengers on the way back in from St Malo when we had to queue for ages to get through passport control.
Then there was the inevitable lack of taxis at the port and yet another queue, but we did make it in the end to our hotel and a welcome tasty meal in a nearby Portuguese restaurant.

We seemed to hang about all day yesterday waiting for things to happen, so it was good to get some exercise today, first to Castle Orgueil in Gorey and then to St Aubin with a beautiful walk back to St Helier along the coastal promenade.

Tonight we have a valedictory meal booked in a recommended Bistro near the sea.

My blip was taken along the route from St Aubin, looking over to St Helier through the boat masts at St Peter.
