Sea Plane & Sailing

I went sailing with my friend Andrew today on his boat which is moored at Upnor Sailing Club. Great day, great fun, great company. This sea plane was doing circuits overhead for a while. It was difficult to get a blip as it was moving quite speedily. This was the best that I could manage. You can see that it still has it's wheels down. Apparently it is essential to retract the wheels if you are going to land on water as otherwise the plane just turns upside down with disastrous consequences. Presumably its equally important to leave the wheels down if you are going to land on land. However I am not an expert in these things.
