Schiffenberg Basilica

After a wonderful breakfast we have been on a tour of Giessen. It was significantly bombed in 1944 by the British. We were reminded of the buildings that used to be there. Some of the older buildings survived.

After lunch we have been in asinging workshop with two other local choirs. Learning new music in a foreign language was hard work but enjoyable.

We’ve then been to Schiffenberg Basilica. It dates from 1103 and although it has had many uses over the years it has recently been restored. There is still a lot of work to be done. Having sung in the building we have been out for dinner.

After another long day we are all very tired
