Country Church

Today we got up early and went to church. We didn't expect to see a church as big as our one in Sydney but we didn't expect one as small as this one was. It was about as big as our lounge room. When we came in mum told us we could sit up the back and draw when the sermon was on {up the back there was a table with four seats, to HUGE colouring sheets and boxes of coloured pencils.} When the sermon was on we did go up the back, Hugh drew transformers and baddies,I sketched the church and while half listening to the sermon and played noughts and crosses with Hugh. Henry and Adelaide were outside most of the time because Adelaide thought it was singing lesson and Henry thought it was the larryboy cave. { if you don't know who Larryboy is he is Henry's favourite plunger eared super cucumber.}
Afterwards we went to feed the bunnies. I held the tiny brown one that adores me and 20 zillion other ones. Actually about seven crawled all over me. { I've got a photo of me holding the tiny brown bunny for my new avatar if you haven't noticed , taken by the magnificent photographer, Daddy}. Adelaide and Hugh went to a corner and started shoving buckets of carrots under the bunny house, in their underground tunnel, and of course, in the bunnys faces. I got realy, realy, REALLY, REALLY hot but I didn't really mind. In another bunny cage there was a brand new bunny that looked like pink squishy hairless wiggly thing with ears. We just dropped carrots through the roof for them.
Then we went to Litchfield National Park. We saw GIGANTIC turmite mounds with gazillions of ants running around. Just when we thought we'd die of the heat it started raining. Since it was still hot we got back in the car and started driving to Florence Falls. We looked out of the lookout and saw a lovely natural pool with two natural waterfalls gushing down alongside. There were people splashing and playing happily down in the pools and Dad finally regretted that he'd told Mum not to pack swimmers because we wouldn't go swimming because there were crocodiles. When we were walking back we decided we'd have a swim back at the butterfly farm.
On the way back it started bucketing down with rain and most of the children didn't talk we exclaimed, yelled, or shrieked. It was flooding everywhere and when we stopped at a petrol station we all instantly took off our seatbelts and gazed at the marvellous site of umbrellas, water, and lightning. As you can probably tell Mum didn't let us go swimming because there was lightning.
When we were back in our cabin we had nothing to do but laze around in the children room moan , stare, and munch on Anzac biscuits. But then we had a BRILLIANT idea. We'd build a gigantic two storey cubyhouse! What else was there two do!? After pushing tables, throwing sheets, learning not to use the blankets of certain beds, and pillow fighting, we eventually finished. It was quite good I must admit. We all slept next to the window because the rest of the cubby was too hot. { when I say we slept I mean we lazed and pretended it was night time in the occasional second when Henry wasnt shouting cockadoodledoo in our ears to wake us up} When we were having dinner outside we discovered a weird looking frog under the table. We had a close examination of the frog and Hugh Adelaide and Henry made a few croaking noises to get its attention we turned our minds back to eating.
