Mount Panorama Circuit

Bathurst is arguably most famous nowadays not (surprisingly) for its high quality orienteering, but for it's racing circuit. Technically a street circuit, it has many residences that can only be accessed from the circuit, and thus is open as a public road whenever races aren't being held on it. It has 174m elevation difference between the highest and lowest points on the course, and has a fastest straight of 180mph! However, at most times the maximum speed is 60kmph or 37mph. The weekend after we leave Bathurst hosts its most famous annual event, the Bathurst 1000.
