From the Ashes

Located outside Tweedie Hall in Linwood, where I held a surgery today, this sculpture - entitled 'Phoenix' - turns fifty next year (if we count from date of commission). Fittingly, 2018 will also mark a decade since the beginning of a substantive regeneration process, which has transformed Linwood beyond recognition. Just as the town has underwent a renaissance, the Phoenix sculpture itself has enjoyed a rebirth, having been relocated from the heart of the former regional shopping centre to its new home.
