I was awake at 5:30am and heard the news from Las Vegas on the radio as it was breaking. An incredibly sad day, lives needlessly lost and no doubt the gun debate will fill the news and continue to go unresolved.

Some beauty in the day involved me spotting this lovely weed growing in a flowerpot at the back door.
