morning run

Went over the river to Tentsmuir to run with a friend. It was a bit chilly in the breeze but warm in the sheltered parts. This is 2 miles in and the view back toward Dundee.
Volunteering at the ponds after lunch where we moving a large pile of cut down tree away for the path and anyone being tempted to set it on fire. The work involved building a log bridge across a ditch and some of the cut bits were just perfect for it.
Sadly, one of the adult swans died this morning (I hadn't seen it for a few days) and a duck was noticed to be without a beak and very thin so the ranger and the SSPCA officer were having to catch it and put it down.
