Departure

A quick walk down to the village in the morning for coffee and a visit to the shop is followed by the final packing. We have time for a last lunch on the terrace for we leave.

The drive over to the airport is uneventful with not too much traffic. Having dropped off the car we get the shuttle bus to the hotel for the night.

Service in the hotel is not good and we walk out of the restaurant without having had a meal. We thought we might be able to walk over to a nearby pizzeria, but find it requires a walk along a busy unlit road with no pavement. We decide to put discretion ahead of valour, and give the pizzeria a miss also. Luckily we have some biscuits in our luggage! We definitely have to find a different hotel in future, this should not be too difficult as there are many hotels in the vicinity of the airport.
