The wild and windy night

...that the rain washed away , left us with a bright and beautiful morning.
We decided to increase our Wainwright tally a little in what has been a rather poor week for walking on account of the somewhat inhospitable weather.
We have a new toy to play with, a new Sat Map as the old one had gone wrong, so we set the controls for Great Calva and Bakestall . I've never been knocked over by wind before, it was blowing a howling gale at the top and I just managed to snatch a few shots of the cairn ( extra ) and this view from the top . I thought the photos would be all over the place I was being thrown around so much. You really can't tell from this.
There was a little bit of rain on the way down but nothing that being entirely enveloped in waterproofs couldn't fend off.
Off out to the pub to eat with the blipping LPH attendees and JG later.
