Sgwarnog: In the Field

Silk

Silk Button Gall, on the underside of a leaf from a young oak.

I was working from home today, and popped down to Tong Park and Spring Wood for a bit in the afternoon as the sun was out. There were still plenty of Red Admirals  about, and several Comma and the odd Speckled Wood, but nothing like my last sunny day walk a couple of weeks ago.

I've also recovered from an epic fail in planning, noticing with a couple of days to spare that my leave, travel and accommodation that I'd arranged a couple of months back to go and see the Wales v Ireland World Cup qualifying game in Cardiff on Monday night was all for a week on Monday, a week later than it was needed. All sorted now though.
