Riga Lion

During a relatively dry 90  minutes this afternoon we took a walk along Albert Street in Riga, just a few minutes from our Albert Hotel (named for Einstein). The street is just 150 meters long, but it includes some of the best Art Nouveau buildings in Riga, which has more than any other city in the world  It was  quite thrilling to see them, despite the weather (ca. 11˚  C or 52˚ F).

This building (the extra shows a general view)  is No. 4 Albert Street, built ca.1905 by Mikhail Eisenstein. A two-floor apartment in the building is for sale--see here (page down)for numerous vivid images of its incredibly lavish interior--don't miss it :)
