Southern Hawker dragonfly

I found this little beauty floating in the pond. One minute it was flying as normal, healthy dragonfly and the next minute it was floating lifeless in the water.  I tried to save it by putting it on a warm stone in the sun. Alas I was not able to save it. I have no idea how long they live, maybe he was suppose to end his life just in that moment :-)
