The last cut is the deepest......

A trip to Macmerry first thing to get a burst hydraulic hose repaired. Lothian Tractors were shutting at 12 noon as it was the funeral of one of their long serving mechanics after lunch.
A sunny but damp morning,so went back next door to finish sorting and clipping the rest of the 90 blks we started on Wednesday.
Started to dry more wet barley after lunch. Bruce arrived up at 3.30pm to have a go at cutting the last of the barley. It wasn't brilliant, about 23% moisture, but its done. We are now finished the harvest ! (If you don't count the 120 acres of wet straw still to bale and the tons of wet grain still to dry ! )
The panic now is to get the grain dried and stored so we can get cattle into the sheds . It never ends .
