The wonderful Andreas........!

....and the man that works the ironing machine in that heat!!

...the last of our holiday journal...AT last! Posted a week after our return but it completes the story of a great week in Cyprus.

We were given the name of this wonderful man and very clear instructions on how to find his laundry, so arrived at 10 am with our bag of washing and told him we had been assured he could do the job in 4 hours. "No problem"...

(No ticket given or name taken either.......)

We managed a last visit to the beach, a swim and of course a frappe and lunch ...then returned to collect our laundry. DONE. We had a good chat with the wonderful gorgeous man. I asked how he knew which washing  belonged to which customer...and learnt the secret is all in the colour of the basket!! There you go!

Back home to clean the apartment, finish our packing, dust the hire car and then head for the airport and to return the car. It was really busy when we got there but wonderfully there was space right next to the car hire kiosk and the man came out holding our papers in his hand. Maybe we had "newbies" written over our faces. It's been great to have the freedom a car brings and a first for us. 

Plenty of time before check-in...then l o n g queues for everything after that. I had a look round duty free but only a look. Then boarding and an attempt to sleep. It was a 10.40 pm flight, landing at 1.30 am. We're being met at Gatwick.....ready for colder temperatures on the other side.
