A full and brilliant day today. We decided to go to Lone pine koala sanctuary :D and I couldn't wait. We first bought our tickets at tourist information in South bank and then "go passes" for the bus then we waited around 45 mins til the next bus as they only run every hour and got the 430 to Fig tree pocket which took us to Lone pine koala sanctuary. It is like a small zoo with lots of Australian native animals and we saw plenty - cockatoos, galahs, kookaburras, platypus's, snakes, wombats, crocodiles, tasmanian devils, dingos etc etc. My absolute favourite parts of the day was cuddling a koala - this one was called "Major" (although it was a very quick hold, literally about 10 seconds for a picture!) and then feeding kangaroos in the enclosure. There were sooo many kangaroos, some small joeys and a couple of buff alpha males, and it was brilliant to interact with them, feed them and be so close to them. A brilliant day!
