Elie, Earlsferry, Kellie Castle, and St Monans

Drove through to Elie and had a wander along to Earlsferry.
Lovely beach at Elie, but the wind was strong and we would have been sandblasted on the beach.

From Elie we went to Kellie Castle and arrived just in time to join a tour. We don't normally go on tours but we were glad we did. Very enjoyable and informative. Great guide. We had lunch in the little tearoom then wandered round the gardens.

Later we walked the Fife coastal path from Pittenweem to St Monans (and back). We climbed up inside the windmill, which in the past pumped water into the salt pans on the foreshore, and enjoyed the views across the sea to the Bass Rock, Berwick Law, and Traprain Law.
