Bass Rock

The Bass Rock lies 3miles off shore from North Berwick.

One of the iconic sites (and sights) of Scotland it is presently famous for colonies of sea birds.

A basalt plug, like Edinburgh Castle Rock and Berwick Law, it can about as a result of massive volcanic upheavals which shaped the landscape of Scotland.
