La Plata

Day two at the conference and I struggled a bit to follow presentations in Portuguese. I'm Galician. Our language is half way between Spanish and Portuguese but that doesn't mean I cope easy with Brazilian accents. I find it amazing how conversations go here: one asks a question in Spanish and gets an answer in Portuguese and vice versa. No one bats an eyelid. I was in an all-women panel discussing technology and education which went really well judging by the audience participation. (Keynote speakers all male *cough*).
