Queens Award for Voluntary Services

Proud day for the Jet Age Museum when Dame Janet Trotter, HM The Queens representative in Gloucestershire being the Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, presented the award to the chairman of the museum.
I haven't 'worked' there for about 18 months now but I got an invite to attend for the work I did in the past, particularly on the setting up of the Vulcan forward fuselage section and the team to run it. I thought that was very nice of them to think of me although I don't get an award badge as I'm not on the volunteer list at the moment!

Apart from that I had a trip on the bike to Southmead hospital for a six month check up, can't believe it was one year yesterday since the operation.
