It's the Great Pumpkin

Every year Central Market holds a contest to see who can produce the largest pumpkin.  The candidates, with their weights posted, are displayed outside the store.  This one was my favorite, although I don't think it will win.  In the Extra you can see some of the other aspirants to the title.

After our scorching summer, it is now cold and gray here; today's temperature was 11 degrees below normal.  The weather is consistent with the mood of those of us who actually do love our country.  It feels as if we are being clubbed over the head every day, as our megalomaniac-in-chief strips away everything that has made us a great and honorable nation.
