Flower Friday 13 :: FF13 :: Salvia dombeyi

This is 'Steve the grass cutter' but today he was 'Steve the yew hedge trimmer' at Lullingstone Castle. I have put a number of images onto my Flickr page that shows what is still blooming in the garden and the work that goes on behind the scenes.

My Extra is of a Salvia dombeyi which has the longest flowers of any salvia, up to 9cm long. These flowering buds will grow an inch or so by the weekend before bursting open.
