Green tomato chutney

I think the lack of sun over the last few weeks is partly to blame for our glut of green tomatoes this year.  Last year, most of our tomatoes ripened on the vine, but this year, they were just not ripening, so W cut our losses and stripped the vines.

As I sit here, there is a strong smell of bubbling green tomato chutney - the second batch.  There was a not quite full jar in the first batch, and W tells me it was so good, he has eaten it up already!  I'm not a huge fan of chutney, but I suppose it will keep once the jars are sealed, though at that rate of consumption, it won't need to keep long!
