My Life With Luna

Happisburgh Lighthouse

Back home now after a wonderful week in North Norfolk.   We came home via the east coast sea road, through Cromer, Gt Yarmouth, Lowestoft and down through Suffolk.
We drove past Happisburgh Lighthouse and this is my colour popped blip today.   The lighthouse was constructed in 1790 as one pair of candle powered lights (one high light and one lower light).   It was electrified in 1947.   In 1987 it was declared redundant by Trinity House but the villagers formed a trust and operate it as an independent lighthouse, the only one in the UK to be run independently.
Thank you all so much for getting my blip from yesterday onto page 4 of the popular pages.
