Waterfoot Sunrise

Same but Different

After our trip down south it was back to home routines, which for me meant an early morning run to the beach. The forecast was for heavy rain later in the day so it was good to get out while it was still dry.

There had been too many dark clouds on the horizon at dawn for a good sunrise and they were still very evident when I reached the beach, which was totally deserted and in complete contrast to the holiday period of only a few weeks ago.

I was drawn to the patterns in the sand left by the ebb tide and how they contrasted with the cloud formations. In some ways they were similar but in other ways quite different. The soft texture of the puffy clouds were in contrast to the harder and sharper textures of the wet sand a stones.

I have now taken several blips from roughly the same spot. However, they always turn out quite different different - or at least that's my excuse for another seascape from the beach!
