Sapa

It was a wet and misty morning and we had a wander around Sapa. The main picture was taken close to our hotel. There is a huge amount of construction work going on in the town and with poor roads along with wet and muddy conditions it is very chaotic but in a different way to Saigon and Hanoi.

In the afternoon we went on a walk through the villages of a Vietnamese hill tribe and the first extra was taken on the walk. The guide had to improvise as the original route had been blocked by a landslide

The second extra is a cockerel outside the hotel entrance that seemed to crow non-stop from 4am to 6am when all the building work started.
