Lisbon Light Fantasia!

Arriving at Lisbon at night has some advantages, especially if your hotel window has a view towards the River Tagus and the 25th of April suspension bridge. The bridge was named after the "Carnation Revolution" which ocurred on that day in 1974 when Portugal peacefully ousted its authoritarian dictatorship, carnation flowers being put into the muzzles of soldiers' rifles and on their uniforms. The effect created here may have been helped by some enjoyable red wine!
